The Hot Springs County Senior Citizens Center is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that serves the entire county.

Following a survey done in the early 1970s, it was determined a large number of seniors resided in the county, and these numbers were expected to increase.

The Hot Springs County Senior Citizens Center was established April 1, 1973 as a multipurpose senior center. Hot Springs County constructed a new building in May 1976, using county revenue sharing and general funds. Utilizing Wyoming Farm Loan Board and county funds in early 1984, the building was remodeled to provide additional office and storage space. The completed 8,400 square feet building was more energy efficient and accessible to the physically challenged.

In 2006, automatic doors were installed in the main entrance to further enhance accessibility.

In 2011, the center was able to take advantage of incentives offered by Rocky Mountain Power to replace all of the T12 bulbs and fixtures with the much more energy efficient T8 bulbs and fixtures.

In the fall of 2016, the interior remodel began to make the Center more welcoming and less sterile looking.

2019 brought our fully remodeled restrooms and additional improvements.

Our Center and administrative offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding designated holidays.
